When it comes to your wedding day, the best thing you can do is actually enjoy it. Be present. Breathe it in. Trust your team. Hug your people. Kiss your person. Laugh until your face hurts. That is the good stuff and it is hard to soak it all up if you are hunting for a safety pin or a Tide pen right before the ceremony!

That is where a good ol’ “Wedding Day Emergency Kit” (aka your bridal BFF in a bag) comes in. What started as a dainty clutch with lip gloss and hairspray has grown into something much more magical ~ think less makeup bag, more Mary Poppins. Our planning team has seen it all and we can tell you firsthand: a well-stocked kit can save the day more times than we can count.

So let’s build your own practically perfect pouch of wedding wizardry. What would you stash inside if you had a bag that could hold everything you might need, just in case?

Mary Poppins wishes she had this bag.

Whether you are the bride, a bridesmaid or the designated “person who always has the stuff,” here is everything we recommend stashing in your wedding day kit. You might not need it all… but when you do, you will be so glad it is in there!

🧴 Toiletries & Tiny Luxuries

Keep yourself fresh, polished and ready for every hug, photo and dance-floor dip.

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
  • Body lotion and hand lotion
  • Razor + shaving cream
  • Nail file and clippers
  • Tweezers (for rogue hairs or splinters)
  • Q-tips & cotton swabs
  • Eye drops
  • Breath mints
  • Deodorant
  • Sunscreen
  • Baby wipes or powder

🚨 Just in Case

Because wedding days are magical… but they are also long, busy and full of surprises.

  • ID, credit cards, a little cash
  • Feminine products
  • Tissues (for happy tears)
  • Bandaids + blister treatment
  • Neosporin
  • Pain relievers (Advil, Tylenol, etc.)
  • Non-drowsy allergy medicine
  • Antacid (wedding-day nerves are real)
  • Extra contacts + solution
  • Mini sewing kit
  • Safety pins + straight pins
  • Super glue
  • Bug spray
  • Lighter (great for sealing ribbon or frayed hems)
  • Wine-Away or Tide-To-Go
  • Clear nail polish (for pantyhose runs)
  • Extra pantyhose
  • Spare buttons
  • Extra socks and ties (groomsmen always forget something)

🔋 Keep the Party Going

You can not run out of battery, bubbles or Beyoncé.

  • Phone charger + portable charger
  • Portable speaker (plus backup battery)
  • Bottle opener + corkscrew
  • Straws
  • Mini champagne or wine bottles
  • Water bottles
  • Light snacks (granola bars, nuts, etc.)

💄 Glam Squad Must-Haves

Touch-ups are part of the game — come prepared like a pro.

  • Your makeup bag (yes, all of it)
  • Setting spray
  • False lashes + glue
  • Lip balm
  • Hairspray + any styling product
  • Curling or straightening iron
  • Brush + comb
  • Bobby pins + hair ties
  • Nail polish + remover
  • Makeup wipes
  • Oil-blotting sheets
  • Perfume or cologne
  • Compact mirror (magnifying = bonus points)
  • Fashion tape
  • Extra earring backs
  • Lint roller
  • Handheld steamer
  • Insoles + heel protectors
  • Shoe shine wipes or kit

At the end of the day, your wedding kit is not about expecting disaster, it is about making space for ease. The goal is not to fix every possible hiccup, but to feel ready for whatever the day brings so you can stay grounded in the joy of it all. Pack it ahead of time, stash it somewhere accessible and then forget about it… unless you need it. That peace of mind? Totally worth the packing list.
