When it was calling for thunderstorms all week, we went through our rain plans and were accepting the fact that it was inevitably going to rain. However, Sammi and Jonathan must have done an anti-rain dance for it not to rain at all on their wedding day; it was amazing! We were able to toss the rain plans aside and have everything outside. There was no rain and even the sun started to peek out in the afternoon. We were so happy when Sammi and Jonathan arrived with smiles on their faces and excitedly said, “I can’t believe it’s not going to rain!!”. It was such a wonderful day!
Sammi and Jonathan had their ceremony offsite and then traveled with their wedding party on the RVA Trolley to Mankin Mansion for cocktail hour and reception. Once they arrived, they took some time for photos in the gardens and the guests arrived about an hour later for cocktail hour. Cocktail hour was beautifully decorated with a lounge set, lanterns, and some furniture pieces rented from Paisley and Jade. It was the perfect setting for Sammi and Jonathan to have their first dance outside on the patio with their family and friends surrounding them.
Once inside the tent for the reception, it was hard not to have your jaw drop to the floor with amazement at how beautiful the decor was! There were vines hanging throughout the tent with elements of burnt orange, dusty pink, and burgundy flowers on all of the tables. Their band also had the coolest setup, which fit their whole vibe! Make sure to scroll through all of the pictures below to see all of these gorgeous details!
Sammi and Jonathan, thank you so much for entrusting us with your special day! It truly was magical.
